Don't look down while you're rocking it up! Alice in Chains have a special performance on the horizon as they prepare to launch their Rainier Fog album. The Seattle rockers will perform atop the city's Space Needle, and they'll be the first band to ever perform on "The Loupe," the world's first and only revolving glass floor that's located 500 feet in the air.

The show will take place Aug. 21 (Tuesday) and is being backed by SiriusXM, who will broadcast their acoustic performance exclusively on Friday, Aug. 31 at 5PM ET/PT via SiriusXM and the SiriusXM app.

“I’ve visited the Space Needle many times in my life and it’s going to be a real honor and a total trip for us to play there,” says guitarist/vocalist Jerry Cantrell. “We’re so proud of this album and to be able to celebrate its release with a performance at one of our town’s most iconic landmarks is really special. It sorta reminds me of the time we did the ‘Again’ video, but instead of being 6 feet in the air rocking out on a glass floor, we’ll be 50 stories high…slight difference.”

"The Loupe" revolving glass floor is powered by 12 motors and offers 360-degree views over the largest city in the Pacific Northwest. "The Loupe" is part of the Space Needle's recent $100 million renovation.

Alice in Chains' Rainier Fog album is due Aug. 24 and you can find the band touring in support of the album at these stops.
