BoomTown is a restaurant in Eveleth, Minnesota and while camping in the area this last weekend our first night in after getting set up, I was too lazy to cook so that's where we chose for dinner.

I was getting hangry at the point we arrived and almost opted for the 30 ounce prime rib for myself.  Instead I asked my queen if she wanted to split the 49 ounce one.  She agreed knowing I like end pieces of prime rib even if they are on the more cooked side.  While we both like medium-rare red meat, the seasoning on the end piece usually makes me settle for a medium if that's what it takes.

We ordered their "OL '49ER".  It came with bread and sides and we ordered a bottle of wine but who cares about that with a 49 ounce piece of delicious in front of you.  It came out somewhere between medium-rare and medium, which worked for both of us.  We added mushrooms which didn't do much for it as the prime rib was the star.  We both enjoyed it, and had at least half of it to take back to the camper.

I would get it again, but sharing a cut that  size with 4 people would be a little more reasonable rather than just a couple.  It fried up nice next to eggs the next day though, so maybe lots of leftovers isn't such a bad thing.
