Super Bowl Sunday seems to be a national holiday for some, and in 2018 it will certainly be the focus for many in the great state of Minnesota. The brand new stadium for the Minnesota Vikings, U.S. Bank Stadium, will be hosting Super Bowl 52 on February 4th, 2018.

CEO of the Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee, Maureen Hooley Bausch was quoted talking about impact the Super Bowl will have on the Twin Cities, according to Vikings.com.  “While our bold new stadium plays host to the biggest event of the year, our community will host thousands of members of the media and more than a million visitors throughout the 10 days of festivities leading up to the Big Game.”

Here's a cool time-lapse video of the whole process of tearing down the Metrodome and the construction of the new stadium.
