Don Ness has been busy since the end of his last term as Duluth Mayor. His latest endeavor has him taking on a role with the Ordean Foundation. Ness announced via Facebook today that he has been hired as the Executive Director of the Ordean Foundation. He will be taking over for Steve Mangan, who is retiring, on Jan. 26.

The former mayor explained in his post that he will be "focused on developing and supporting strategies to address the root causes of poverty and disparities in our community."

Ordean Foundation board member Ben Stromberg is excited about the hiring of Ness. He said in a press release (via WDIO) of Ness "Don's deep commitment to our community and vision for its future make him ideally suited to carry on the legacy of Albert and Louise Ordean".
