I've lived in Superior, Wisconsin on and off for my entire life.  While I appreciate a restaurant with good food and a great atmosphere, there are admittedly some places I forget about.

One of the reasons is I get set in my ways and default to a few restaurants and up until just recently had always spaced out going to Eddie's.  It's a joint in Superior's Itasca Neighborhood that if not for the signage and parking lot, you might think it's a house.

Also known as Eddie's Ribs, in 2022 Ben and Mary took ownership and have continued on with the iconic and historic establishment that's been around in some form since the late 1880s.

There you will hand some great hand-crafted cocktails, giant savory ribs of course, steaks, an award-winning fish fry, some banging good desserts, a friendly staff, and a supper club like atmosphere.

The pricing is decent for what you get, and since Ben and Mary took over the show, we haven't been disappointed in what we get.  That's something I appreciate, consistency all across the board when dining out.

While I will never tell you to not try the ribs, if that's not what you're feeling, for sure go for the prime rib.  It's a good size portion that's mouthwatering and make sure you go for the au gratin potatoes as one of your sides.

If available that night and in the dessert mood, opt for the Butterfinger Cheesecake to round out the experience.  In reality, every dessert we've tried there has been quite delicious.

Don't forget to check out Eddie's the next time you're stuck in a rut of the same ole places you normally eat in the Twin Ports.
