Everson Griffen is The NFC Defensive Player of the Week

Another week, another accolade for a Minnesota Vikings player, this week DE Everson Griffen is the NFC Defensive Player of the Week.

This is the second time Griffen has earned this honor in his career; the first time was when the Vikings played the Packers in January last season.

Griffen recorded four tackles, three sacks and nine quarterback hurries in the week three win over the 2015 NFC Champion Carolina Panthers.

He is the 10th Player of the Week award earned in the last three seasons under Coach Mike Zimmer and the sixth defensive player to earn the honor. SKOL!
