Former UMD Bulldog Miska Gets Called Up To NHL
Former University of Minnesota-Duluth goalie Hunter Miska has been called up to the Arizona Coyotes.
The Stacy, Minnesota native, Miska is being recalled by the Arizona Coyotes, the team that signed him after one season playing for the University of Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs.
Miska backstopped the Bulldogs all the way to the NCAA Frozen Four National Championship game last season before losing to the Denver Pioneers. Miska put up a 27-5-5 record with UMD while also being named as a finalist for the Mike Richter award, "which honors the most outstanding goaltender in NCAA men's hockey" according to NCAA.com.
Miska has played in 4 games for the Tucson Roadrunners this season, which is the AHL affiliate of the Coyotes. He has posted a 3-0-0 record in Tucson so far this season, which a 4.02 goals against average and an .884 save percentage.
