Gas Main Project Begins Today On Duluth’s London Road

If you drove on London Road Monday, you probably saw some traffic control in place for a fairly lengthy gas main project.  Today, August 15, that project officially begins.

The City of Duluth will be working on a gas main replacement on London Road to replace an aging steel gas main with a plastic main which will be capable of operating at a higher pressure.

This project will impact the north shoulder of London Road between 35th Avenue East and 40th Avenue East. No natural gas customers will have service impacts during this project.

If you drive in the area, you should expect lane restrictions and slower traffic.  Please be on the lookout for detour signs and city crews who will be working on this project into October.
