The roller coaster ride we all know as the Vikings Stadium saga continues through another rough weekend in the Legislature. After positive momentum through last week, partisan politics ground progress to a halt over the weekend in St. Paul.

Republicans took a stance of not wanting to pass the current bill unless it includes a tax break for businesses and a re-allocation of some funding away from other state building projects. Democrats are hoping to re-allocate funds as well, but the dollar amount they have in mind varies greatly from what Republicans say is an acceptable amount.

The sudden halt to progress has some wondering if the bill is dead. Governor Dayton remains optimistic on where things stand overall, feeling as though progress is still being made.
