Good news for outdoor enthusiasts in the Twin Ports:  Hartley Park is now open again, following restoration work.  The park received significant damage during the July windstorm.

City crews and community trail organizations have been working since the summer storm to restore Hartley's unique and diverse trail system.  Included in the work is repairs to the cross country ski trails - just in time for the winter season.

The City of Duluth estimates that more than 1,000 trees were blown down by the July 21, 2016 storm.  The Canadian National EcoConnexions "From The Ground Up" program donated more than 3,500 replacement trees.
