I started shaving my head around the age of 18 as I was sick of my receding hairline and felt it was time to quit trying to fool myself.  For many years I just did it myself, whether using a regular 3 to 10 blade razor or even the old style silver handle single blade with the fancy shave soap dish and brush.  The older I get though, the more lazy I am with keeping my head shaved, and don't tell my girlfriend but I get more smiles and attention from older women when I keep some up top.  It's going grey though and it bugs me, plus I have been keeping facial hair, so I started going to see Steve the barber.

Steve's shop is in south Superior and I started seeing him for just a beard trim, anywhere from $3 to $5 was just fine with me since I like the socializing aspect of a barber shop.  The things a barber can get people to talk about while in his chair or even just sitting waiting for a cut, is incredible.  I now go in for a beard trim and I have him straight shave my whole head and anywhere else on the face and neck to keep things squared and neat.  At a price around $23 before tip for his artistry, I do my best to go every week if I can or every other week as work allows and I always leave happy.

Remember if you go, it's first come first serve, no appointments there, and it's cash only.  From shaves to trims to cuts, Steve does a great job and even is good with the kids that parents bring in.  If you want a good old school barber, I suggest The Barber Shop in Superior.
