With extreme cold temperatures becoming more common recently, Nest thermostats are having some issues keeping people warm.

The Nest Learning Thermostat is a new 'smart' thermostat that was bought by Google back in 2014 for over 3 billion dollars. The thermostat allows for people to monitor and change the thermostats from their phones when they aren't even at the home.

But a glitch has some people getting cold quick. A bug in a Nest December software update has made homes susceptible to the system shutting off on them. The co-founder and the VP for engineering for Nest, Matt Rogers, was quoted as saying “We had a bug that was introduced in the software update that didn’t show up for about two weeks."
