It's time for Northland writers to get inspired.  Lake Superior Writers announced that its 2018 Writing Contest will have "Rescue" as the theme.

Now it's up to you to decided if you want to use the them literally or metaphorically.  Was there a time you were literally rescued physically or emotionally?  Want to create an adventurous story of rescue?  The possibilities are endless and there are four categories in which you can submit your work.

Categories include: Poetry (up to 3 poems), Short-Short Fiction (1 or 2 submissions of up to 500 words), Short Fiction (a single submission of 1,500-5,000 words), and Creative Nonfiction (a single submission of 1,500-5,000 words). One winner in each category will receive a prize of $250 and publication on the Lake Superior Writers website.

Entries are free for Lake Superior Writers members, $35 for non-members.  Follow the link below for complete details and make sure your entries are submitted by the April 1 deadline.
