The Northland is full of talented students and you can see that for yourself this week at the Lake Superior College Spring Art Exhibit, which officially opens today at noon.

There is also a reception Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., which is free and open to the public.  At the reception you'll have the opportunity to meet student artists and enjoy refreshments.  Parking is also free.

The LSC Spring Art Exhibit will then run through Wednesday, May 2 during regular campus hours, 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Artwork will be displayed in the upper and lower concourse in LSC’s main building.  Bid sheets are available at docent tables.

All displayed artwork is from students enrolled in Lake Superior College art courses.  For many of the approximately 350 participating students, it will be their first-ever exhibition.

According to Lake Superior College:

Students will present a variety of art, including watercolor, sculpture, jewelry, digital photography and drawing, painting, drawing, two and three-dimensional design projects, and ceramics. Many of the works will be available for purchase.

It's a great opportunity to support the arts in the community.  You can follow the link below to get details on the LSC Associate in Fine Arts (A.F.A.) degree that is fully transferable to four-year institutions.
