Coates RV had their inaugural event this weekend at the Duluth Heritage Sports Center and I made it down Sunday morning to check it all out.

Two things that were nice right away was they didn't charge admission and the parking was free.  A welcome change compared to other events in the Twin Ports where it's $5.00 to park and anywhere from $10-$15.00 just to get in the door.

We were greeted at the entrance by two very friendly staff members who encouraged us to sign up for door prizes and filled us in on what was going on.  From there we entered the venue and there was a large booth selling discounted camper supplies and accessories.  Further down that line were several campgrounds booking trips for the summer camping season.  There was even a bounce house and activities for kids to be entertained.

The rest of the Seitz Arena was filled with RVs of all sizes, with nice discounts too.  What we really enjoyed was there were plenty of staff to answer questions and not one had a pushy sales attitude, everyone had that "happy to help" way about them and all smiles.  On site too were some factory reps for the RV manufacturers, I really appreciated getting a walkthrough of a camper that caught our eye by someone who knew the RV inside and out.

We didn't end up buying a new one today, as we just purchased ours last year, but definitely know where to look in the future.  If you missed The Twin Ports RV Show this year, don't miss it next year.
