Each year thousands of people roll into Bayfield, Wisconsin for their annual Applefest event.  This is their 54th year of all things apples and so much more.  Applefest has tons of vendors, an arts and crafts fair, grand parade, apple peeling and pie contests, raffles, staged and street entertainment, the kids’ carnival and contests, dances, live music and so much more.

Every year I have a couple of must have food items on my to get list.  The best and top one for me is the apple brat with apple mustard.  I can never remember the street corner that it is on but you usually can't miss it as it's one of the longest lines usually.  The line wait is beyond worth it.

Lower on the list but not much lower is hot apple cider with some Captain Morgan in it.  This is only sold in a couple of areas there  and I usually get it on South 1st Street.  I'm pretty sure the place is called The Rum Line.

Another stop for their delicious apples is right close to town and that is Erickson Orhard.  Great cider and great tasting apples can be found there every year, you can pick your own too if you want.

These are only a few of my favorite stops and foods for Applefest, my advice, try everything.  Applefest kicks off this Friday the 5th and runs through Sunday the 7th in Bayfield, WI.
