The death of former President George H.W. Bush has prompted the current President to declare a National Day of Mourning.

That day will be Wednesday and because of that, the Postal Service will suspend regular mail delivery and post offices will be closed on December 5th, to honor President Bush, who died November 30th at the age of 94 in his Houston home.

The Postal Service said that they will still, "provide limited package delivery service on that day to ensure that the Postal Service network remains fluid and USPS does not experience any impacts to its package delivery operations that might negatively affect customers or business partners during the remainder of the busy holiday season.

In addition to the day of mourning, all USPS facilities are required to fly the flag at half-staff through Sunday, December 30th
