Section of 1st Avenue East in Downtown Duluth Closed Through Thursday

If you're traveling through downtown Duluth this week, be prepared for a section of 1st Avenue East to be closed through Thursday.

The City of Duluth says that due to a sewer cleaning project along Superior Street, in anticipation of a cured in place sewer lining project in October, 1st Avenue East will be closed between 1st Street and Superior Street through Thursday, September 29.

Alley access will be maintained as well as the sidewalks.

Drive with caution as there will be city crews working as well as large equipment in the area.
