Winter seemingly won't let go, with cold temperatures persisting through the first half of the month and a major snowstorm whipping up waves and dropping around a foot or more of snow across much of the region. The forecast for this storm shifted a lot, however the track looked to remain south through much of the week leading up to the storm arriving. During the day on Saturday, the National Weather Service updated the forecast to reflect a change in snowfall to upwards of a foot for the Twin Ports area, and the storm didn't underperform.

Snowfall reports from the National Weather Service in the Twin Cities show a range of snowfall generally hovering between 6 and 12 inches in the Twin Ports area, with as much as 22 inches in some places in the Twin Cities.
