Mountain bike enthusiasts of all ages are invited to Spirit Mountain August 10 - August 12 for the Fifth Annual Kraus-Anderson Bike Duluth Festival.

This event is for all levels of biking, from hardcore experienced riders to families and kids that want to explore a fun new sport.

According to organizers, events will include Enduro, downhill and XC races, product demos, and an evening celebration with family-fun bike events.  New to the line-up for 2018 is an Adventure Ride for those new to the sport and are looking for a more casual ride.

There will also be an Expo Village, which features product demos from Trek, Specialized, Continental Ski and Bike, Santa Cruz and SRAM and local craft breweries, food and a silent auction.

Kids can enjoy youth activities throughout the day including kids bike races for all ages and abilities.

The final day of the festival features the Great Hawk Chase XC Race, which is part of the Minnesota Mountain Bike Series and features separate races for riders of all abilities, from kids and beginners to pros.

Friday, August 10  

  • Early Check-in is available, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.
  • Pre-Riding, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Saturday, August 11  

  • Bike Events Begin at 9:30 a.m.
  • Youth Activities, 9:30 a.m.
  • Silent Auction, 12 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Sunday, August 12  

  • Great Hawk Chase XC Race, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
