Team Rice Wins First Pro Bowl With New Draft Format
HONOLULU (AP) — Jerry Rice earned bragging rights over Deion Sanders in the NFL's attempt to tweak the Pro Bowl.
DeMarco Murray caught a 20-yard pass for a touchdown and Mike Tolbert plunged into the end zone for a 2-point conversion with less than one minute remaining to give Rice's team a 22-21 win over Sanders' squad in the first schoolyard-style Pro Bowl.
Baltimore's Justin Tucker missed a 67-yard field goal on the final play after missing a 66-yarder earlier in the game.
The game also featured six interceptions, eight turnovers and nine sacks.
