The 2018 Glensheen “Secret Garden” Gala Review

I've been to Glensheen several times over my lifetime living in Duluth and have actually retained a decent amount of knowledge about the estate from those tours.

Last night I had the opportunity to attend their annual gala to help raise money for future upgrades to the estate grounds.  We through on some dressy clothes and took a Lyft down there knowing the event had cocktails.  Upon arrival we were greeted at the gate and were given some details on the evening.  Basically they gave us full access to the estate grounds with fancy food stations and a couple of what they call "shot in the dark" locations where you get a shot of brandy or bourbon.

Dubbed "The Secret Garden", the focus was on the grounds that were lit up in a unique way so once the sun went down it really looked great.  It was definitely a chance to see Glensheen in a way I never had before.  They even let us have access to the tennis court and have a glimpse in the family silver safe.

If you get a chance next year, make a point to attend this event, it helps support the venue and it really is a fun date night out.
