We've heard horror stories about someone being robbed, assaulted or even killed while meeting a stranger for a transaction that originated through Craigslist or Facebook. First, it's open early and stays open late enough. Second, it has a large parking lot that is rarely full so if you're selling furniture or a larger item you have room to complete the sale. Third, all windows at this Caribou location look right into the aforementioned parking lot so everyone inside can see everything going on.
Again, the more people looking and walking around, the safer you're more likely to be. Not only that, but you get to go inside and get a fantastic cup of coffee.

For those looking to do a transaction on the Wisconsin side of the bridge, Perkins on E 2nd Street in Superior is a nice choice.
They are open early and late, have a nice size parking lot, if needed, for those larger transactions, and they get a lot of traffic both at the restaurant and on the roads outside.
