Twin Ports MLK Rally Monday at the DECC

Monday, January 15 is Martin Luther King Jr. Day and the Duluth Branch of the NAACP is hosting a Twin Ports MLK Rally at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center.

The theme this year is “Birth of a New Nation,” titled from a 1957 speech given by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  Brittany Lynch will be the keynote speaker and there will also be children’s activities, vendors, and free MLK buttons while supplies last.

The rally is scheduled to begin at noon.

There are also a variety of other Twin Ports activities planned in honor Martin Luther King Jr. Day, beginning with a Mayoral Reception Thursday, January 11 at noon.
