After going to UMass-Lowell and tying both games this past weekend, the University of Minnesota Duluth Men's Hockey Team jumped from number 6 to number 4 in the latest USCHO poll.

After sweeping Michigan Tech in their season and home opener series, the Bulldogs traveled out east to take on a UMass-Lowell team that was ranked number 8 in the nation and lost in the second round of the NCAA tournament last season.

The USCHO poll released today had Duluth jumping two spots to number 4 in the nation after two weekend ties with the River Hawks.

Both games against Lowell ended in ties, with Friday night ending 4-4 and a Saturday night draw of 1-1. Sophomore Neal Pionk from Hermantown had two goals and an assist on the weekend to bump his point total to 6 in four games to lead the team in points after the first four games of the season.

Duluth Head Coach Scott Sandelin had both good and bad things to say in his post game press conference on Saturday night.
