A fantastic annual event for veterans across the Northland returns Tuesday, April 24 to the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

The annual Douglas County Veterans Expo will be held at the UW-Superior Yellow Jacket Union Great Room from 3:00p.m. - 7:00p.m.

According to organizers, those in attendance Tuesday can expect:

Numerous area agencies, vendors, and veteran support groups from both Superior, Wisconsin and Duluth, Minnesota will be available showcasing various resources and services available for all current and former military personnel, family members, and all other members of the community.

Resources available to veterans will include:

  • Face-to-face Veterans Benefits assistance
  • Education and GI Bill® information
  • Affordable Care Act information

There will be refreshments available as attendees also enjoy guest speakers, including UW-Superior Chancellor Dr. Renee Wachter, Superior Mayor James Paine, and Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs CVSO liaison Steven Janke.

The event, which is handicap accessible, is free and open to the public and free parking will also be available.
