Watch an Ice Rink Being Built at TCF Bank Stadium

The NHL Stadium Series is playing the first of two games for the 2016 season this weekend at TCF Bank Stadium. See what it takes to add an ice rink to the outdoor stadium in this timelapse video.

The NHL shared this timelapse video of the crew putting up the rink for this weekend's games. The Alumni game will be played on Saturday afternoon with teams made up from the Wild, North Stars and Blackhawks legends. The main event happens Sunday afternoon to a nationally televised audience when the Minnesota Wild battle Central Division rival Chicago Blackhawks in the first-ever NHL outdoor matchup in Minnesota.
