The gifts are open, the families gone, the season is over, and now you need to get rid of that real Christmas tree that's sat in your home for the last month or so.  You can't just throw it away - so where can you bring it?

Duluth offers more options than you would think for properly disposing of a real Christmas tree that's at the end of its life cycle.  The Western Lake Superior Sanitary District has worked in cooperation with a variety of locations to provide drop-off sites for Twin Ports residents.  Accordingly, the WLSSD has announced that six different sites will be open for tree drop-off between December 26, 2018 and January 10, 2019:

  • Chester Bowl
  • Lester Park
  • Duluth Heights Community Club
  • Woodland Community Club
  • Rose Garden
  • City of Duluth - West Toolhouse

The sites provide a variety of location options for folks looking to get rid of their trees.  As always, its best to check the WLSSD website for more details about each site.
