Why So Much Hate on Tim Tebow?

One of the biggest stories in the NFL besides the Green Bay Packers chase for perfection is this unorthodox quarterback, that just keeps on winning ball games. If that hint does not ring any bells, then here is another one, he wears number 15, still nothing? Okay his name is Tim Tebow quarterback for the Denver Broncos.

Playing quarterback is one of the hardest jobs in sports, and not to mention even harder when your boss keeps throwing you under the bus. Did Tebow ask for everyone to mock him? Did Tebow force the Denver Broncos to draft him in the first round? The answer is no. So why does every sports writer, radio host, and TV host continue to mock him? Its unfair, but one thing you will not see is Tebow fighting with the media, but instead Tebow lets his stats speak for themselves; or maybe I should say his record. Tebow is 5-1 since taking over for the Broncos at quarterback.

5-1 might not seem like a whole lot, but if you could pretend that the season started six weeks ago then the Broncos would be tied with Houston Texans for first in the AFC. That's not bad for a quarterback that some say can not play in the NFL. If Tebow can not play in the NFL then how is he 5-1? Is there some magical rule that says a quarterback has to complete over 60% of his passes, and throw for 300 yards in a game, and throw three touchdowns? No, a quarterback does not have to do that in order to win a game. Yeah maybe Tebow wins in a ugly boring way, but last time I checked, a win is a win.

Also what gives John Elway the right to publicly diss Tebow? I know Elway runs the Broncos, but when

your quarterback has your team heading for the play-offs then shut your mouth. Maybe Elway his jealous, and does not want to see Tebow bring Denver its third Super Bowl; or does Elway want his Alma Mater quarterback in Andrew Luck? I personally think it is a mixer of both.

I know Minnesota Viking Fans would love it if their team was 5-1 in the last six games. If you have to transform your team around Tebow in order to win then do it, because every where Tebow goes he wins, albeit if its high school, college, and now we are seeing he can win in the NFL. This season has been so weird it would not surprise me if Tebow runs the course, and upsets Green Bay Packers in the Super Bowl. That would just put the cherry on top for this NFL season, and would force Elway to shut it his mouth about how "they are still not any closer on finding their quarterback".

Who really knows what will happen to Tebow. If he starts to lose then it will give Elway all the ammo he needs to get rid of him, but if he keeps on winning then it will be interesting to see what does happen. Maybe Tebow will become the first quarterback to ever lead his high school team to State title, College team to a Nation Championship, and NFL team to a Super Bowl win. Or maybe teams will figure him out like they did with the Wild Cat, and Tebow mania will end.
