The Short Shorts Film Festival is going into it's 15th year showcasing videos that are less that 5 minutes.  Short films like you are probably familiar with have a running time of 40 minutes or less, so this takes it to a whole new level of telling a story in a very short time.

Cash prizes are awarded tot he top three film productions, and it's open to local, national and international film submissions.  This is Minnesota's only short short film festival and a panel of judges will be selecting the top 15 finalists.  The cool part is that the audience then picks the top 3 winners.  Cash is the prize and for first it's $300, second is $200, and third is $100.

It's on Saturday, January 15th, starting at 7:00PM at The Underground in Duluth, and it's $20 to attend.  You can get more information on this and other Underground events here.
