2020 Duluth Oktoberfestival Cancelled

Organizers of the Duluth Oktoberfestival announced via social media Thursday morning that the event will be cancelled this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The Duluth Oktoberfestival held their inaugural event in 2019, and was scheduled for September 18-20, 2020 at Bayfront Festival Park.

In a statement via the event's website, Ryan Kern of organizing company Kern and Kompany shared the following on the cancellation:

With the current health and safety restrictions in place for outdoor entertainment in the State of Minnesota due to covid-19 we are unable to offer an authentic experience that meets the expectations of our guests and our brand this year.

The Duluth Oktoberfestival, which features an authentic German Oktoberfest experience that includes music, dancing, games, food, and beverages for the entire family will return in 2021. Organizers share that they have already scheduled next year's event for September 17-19, 2021 at Bayfront Festival Park in Duluth.
