A brand of meat sticks sold in grocery and convenience stores is being recalled due to an undeclared allergen.  Family Traditions Meat Company - located in Ackley, Iowa - is voluntarily recalling their meat sticks sold under the brand name Arcadia; the sticks contain milk - which is not declared on the label and is an allergen concern for many.

Here are the specific product details - direct from the United States Department of Agriculture:

3-oz. and 6-oz. vacuum-packed packages containing “Arcadia MEATS SMOKED BEEF STICKS ORIGINAL” with lot numbers 31819, 33719 and 00620.

The sticks were manufactured on November 14, 2019, December 3, 2019 and January 6, 2020 and have a shelf life of six months. The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 46538” inside the USDA mark of inspection. Arcadia Meat Sticks were then shipped to retail locations in seven different states:   Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

The problem was discovered in retail by a compliance officer with the Iowa Department of Agriculture.  At this time there have been no known reported cases with adverse affects.
