It's hard to believe that we're already heading into week 7 of the NFL season, but teams are certainly displaying the usual wear and tear that comes with being a football team.  For example, Victor Cruz (torn patellar tendon) and Knowshon Moreno (torn ACL) were two of the most recent casualties to be put on injured reserve, and stars like Calvin Johnson and Darren Sproles are battling nagging inju

Every season, there's always one or two teams that are able to stay undefeated coming into November, which certainly makes the 1972 Dolphins uneasy in their seats.  However, with both the Cincinnati Bengals and Arizona Cardinals losing in week five, every NFL team has now suffered at least one loss this regular season.

It's now October, and most of that preseason rust should be starting to shake off teams' starters and the daily grind of practice and film has now become habitual for every organization.

Before the kickoff of every preseason, we are able to watch a handful of the some of the greatest football players ever take the stage to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.  It's obviously one of the greatest individual honors in sports, but there are still plenty of candidates that are Hall of Fame-worthy and aren't able to make the final cut.

Now that we're entering the fourth week of the NFL, most teams are finally entering regular season mode after experiencing full contact and real action.  For multiple safety reasons, training camp and preseason isn't what it used to be, so it usually takes time for some teams and players to adjust in September.

I don't know how it happened, but I was clearly off my game, picking only five of the sixteen games correctly.  Needless to say, I felt a lot like the Minnesota Vikings in the second half on Sunday. For some, week one was a great way to start the new football season; for the rest, week two couldn't come soon enough.  Last week provided some great games that went down the last second (Bills/Bears, Falcons/Saints, Steelers/Browns) and there were also a few upsets that were suprising, to say the least (Tennessee over Kansas City, Miami over New England, and Houston over Washington)...

Finally, football has arrived!  After four weeks of flag-infested preseason games and backups abound, it's time to see the real stars of football in actual action (not that I don't like to see the average stringer every now-and-then).

Peyton Manning, David Garrard, Matt Schaub, and Vince Young.  These were the four starting quartebacks for the AFC South in the 2010 season.  All of them seemed to have plenty of job security on their respected teams, but we now know that wasn't the case.  Since this past March, all four of these quarterbacks are out of the division, and two of them aren't even in the league anymore.

If I had to give a nickname for the AFC North, I think that I would call it "The Division of Rivalries"
