Keeping busy during long Northland winters can be challenge, but the City Of Duluth Parks and Recreation Department is doing there best to help.

The public is invited to enjoy Bayfront skating rink all 7 days of the week, weather permitting.  The Bayfront Family Center provides a place to warm up.
While you are encouraged to bring your own equipment, there is limited equipment available for use at Bayfront Park, including ice skates, snowshoes, sleds, and cross country skis.
Friday nights are even better because you can enjoy fires, along with free hot chocolate and marshmallow roasting, and music.  c
Rink hours are 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. on weekdays, 1 p.m. -8 p.m. Saturdays and 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. Sundays.
The rink will be closed if wind chills reach -20 degrees Fahrenheit, or if warm weather creates melted puddles on the ice.
