Black Water Lounge To Temporarily Close Beginning In 2019
Julie Thoreson, president of operations at the Black Woods Group, announced the closing after the New Year celebrations.

We will be temporarily closing Black Water Lounge beginning in 2019 as we prepare for the 2nd phase of road closure/construction on Superior Street. Our staff will continue to work in our other locations, and many of the signature menu items our guests love will appear at Black Woods and the Tavern on the Hill.
It’s been challenging on Superior Street and will continue to be for the next few years. But there is light at the end of the tunnel as we eagerly anticipate the expansion of Essentia Health and the brand-new street improvements, once they are complete. While we hate to say goodbye… for now, we’ll take this time to plan and dream up our grand re-opening with a beautiful new Superior Street!
While it might initially feel like it’s a long time away before we reopen, it’ll merely be a blink of an eye, and we’ll be welcoming our friends, family, and tourists back to our super-swanky lounge with open arms…and a June in January in hand!
Stay tuned to our Facebook page for updates as well as locations where you’ll be able to satisfy your Lounge cravings! Fondue for Two at Tavern on the Hill or a 5th Amendment Martini with our famous Lobster Bites at Black Woods Duluth will keep you dreaming about the wonderful times at the Lounge.
If you have gift cards for Blackwater, you are encouraged to use them at the Blackwoods locations, Tavern On The Hill or hold on to them when the club re-opens.
