CHUM Squash Hunger Campaign Looking For Donations To Achieve Goals
The Squash Hunger campaign, presented by Minnesota FoodShare and CHUM, is in the home stretch and more donations are needed to hit their goal to raise $110,000 and collect 31,000 pounds of food to stock three food shelves that provide food for 500 Duluth households each month.
According to CHUM, March is the perfect month for such a campaign because it's the month that all contributions to Minnesota food shelves receive a proportional match from Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign, a program of the Minneapolis Council of Churches.
There are several places across the Northland you can visit to help. Throughout the month of March Whole Foods Co-op has been doing round up at the register and now through April 8th area Super One stores will also be accepting donations.
