Grandma's Marathon draws thousands of visitors to Duluth each summer, and all of those thousands of people need a place to park. In addition to the traditional places offered for parking, the City of Duluth has announced they will offer more options to residents and visitors participating or watching the race.

Among the additional space, 193 additional spots in four lots within Canal Park will be opened to the public, and 1,753 additional spaces in five lots within a block of the marathon course through downtown will be made available.

With the additional spaces comes a catch, however. The Canal Park spots will only be accessible pre-race between 4 am and 6 am, and again after 3 pm. Between 6 am and 3 pm, moving vehicles in and out of the lots will not be permitted.

The downtown ramps will be open starting at 5 am, and will remain available until full. Payment to park in these spaces must be made in cash, and will be collected by marked Interstate Parking event staff at each location.
