There are plenty of traditions that surround the holidays.  Some of the bigger community events become things that families look forward to each year and plan their own celebrations around.

One of those community events is the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony that happens in the City of Superior.  Many have joined in on the tradition and helped city leaders as they flip the switch to light up the huge decorated tree that's located at the corner of Belknap Street and Tower Avenue and then continue to have some family fun with a celebration with music and food that lasts into the evening.

The date of the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony for 2022 has been set for Wednesday, November 23 - the evening before Thanksgiving - at Center City Park.  The event will start at 5:00 PM.  Everyone is invited to attend and have some fun.

Organizers have planned something for everyone.  In addition to the tree lighting activity, there'll be a chance for the kids to visit with Santa; elves will be handing out holiday treats for everyone; and there'll be a "retirement of the current Holiday Tree" - according to the information being shared by the city.

Superior's annual Tree Lighting Ceremony is always a fun time - with plenty of free and easy parking in the area surrounding the park and lots of fun activities to take part in.

For more details about the events and activities coordinated by the City of Superior, visit their official website;  you'll also find information about other holiday activities.
