Every year ABATE of Wisconsin Region 6B and The Northeast Chapter of ABATE Minnesota come together for an annual motorcycle run.  The Billboard Run raises money for motorcycle awareness billboards.  John "Chic" Ciocarelli, was a long time member of ABATE and worked hard every year to help get sponsors and make the event a success.  In May of 2020, Chic passed away, leaving a hole in the hearts of the biker community and many others who were blessed to cross paths with him.

I wanted to share this event not only because it's for a great cause, but because they chose to make it in memory of Chic.  He would have never expected them to do something like that for him, but he sure would have loved it.

Chic's Memorial Billboard Run is on Saturday, September 19th.  Registration is at Noon from either The Chalet in Hermantown or Builder's Saloon in Superior, with a shotgun start at 1:00PM.  It's only a $10 donation to ride and each paying participant will receive  a raffle ticket to win the 2020 "Survivor" plaque.
