On September 11th, 2001, most of us remember where we where when we heard about the incident that shook our nation.  Many people lost their lives, including 343 firefighters.  Those firefighters were doing their jobs, fighting to save as many lives as possible.  On September 11th, 2020, the Duluth Fire Department will pay tribute to those fallen brothers and sisters of the New York fire department that gave their lives for others.

The Duluth Fire Department will be climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center.  In doing so, they will be raising funds for the International Association of Firefighters and their Fallen Firefighters Memorial Fund.  At 8:15AM, a closed to the public press conference will be held.  It will be on a live stream though on the Duluth Fire Department's Facebook page.  Twelve members of the Duluth Fire Department will then begin climbing with a moment of silence to follow at 8:46AM.  The climb will take between 20-40 minutes and they will be in full response gear.

To make a donation to help support the IAFF, you can do that directly HERE.  The link to find out more about the climb, and watch all of the events for the morning can be found HERE.  Even if you can't financially donate, donate a few minutes of your day by joining the feed to show your support.
