While on air this morning, the Breakfast Club received several calls from listeners reporting an accident on Grand Avenue in Duluth involving a school bus and two vehicles.  Ken and I passed this information along hoping to divert traffic from that area while awaiting word from the authorities of what happened.  Here are further details and pictures from the Duluth Police Department:

The Duluth Police Department received the call at 6:50 this morning, Monday, October 20 and responded to 38th Avenue West and Grand Avenue on a report of a personal injury accident involving a Duluth school bus.

The initial report was an occupied school bus had smashed into a parked car. Duluth Police and MN State Patrol arrived at the scene and determined no one was injured in the crash. The 55 year old male bus driver stated through initial investigation that he swerved to avoid another vehicle, striking the unoccupied parked vehicle. The bus driver was not cited in the incident.

Duluth Police are still investigating the accident. No further information can be released at this time.
