
Eli Manning Leads N.Y. Giants To 45-14 Rout Of Washington
Eli Manning threw four touchdown passes and ran in another score, and the New York Giants routed the Washington Redskins, 45-14, in Landover, Md. on Thursday night. The loss was the second in a row for Washington (1-3), which committed six turnovers in the game.
The Giants (2-2) led 24-7 at halftime thanks to Manning's three first-half touchdown passes to Larry Donnell. After the Redskins cut their deficit to 24-14 on the first drive of the third quarter, Manning threw his fourth scoring pass of the night, a two-yard toss to Daniel Fells, to make it 31-14. The score helped New York capitalize on the first of Kirk Cousins' four interceptions in the game.
Manning finished with 300 yards passing and four touchdowns. He also had a one-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter. Victor Cruz led the Giants with six catches for 108 yards.
Cousins completed of 19 of 33 passes for 257 yards, a touchdown and the four picks. He also fumbled once.
