Gitchigrass 2020 Is Scaled Down But Still On
Another Twin Ports area event is not going on quite as planned but it's at least still happening. Gitchigrass 2020 was supposed to feature a larger line-up of entertainment for the day but with Covid being Covid, there are some changes. Regardless, it looks like it will be a pretty good time and it's an inaugural bluegrass/Americana festival that's free to attend.
It's taking place on Earth Rider's festival grounds and will be hosted by Black River Revue. You'll also enjoy music from Tin Can Gin. The acts originally scheduled to also be there who are not able to attend are Big Wu and Keller Williams, so hopefully it works out to schedule them for next year.
Not only is the event free, it's also an all-ages event, so you can bring the whole family. What's great too about the Earth Rider festival grounds is that it's also dog friendly, so feel free to bring the family pup. Picnic tables are limited though, especially with social distancing, so make sure you bring your own blankets or chairs to be as comfortable as you can.
To help keep everyone safer, guests are encouraged to wear masks when walking around. Earth Rider will be serving beverages for purchase in compostable cups and also disinfecting tables between each use. It all happens on Saturday, August 15th, from 5:30PM-9:00PM at 1715 North Third Street in Superior.
