Grand Casino Hinckley and Grand Casino Mille Lacs closed their doors March 16 due to the pandemic. They now have a plan, if not an exact date, for a multi-phase reopening.

They've released a 25-page reopening plan that thoroughly covers all operations and amenities within their properties.

According to their updated reopening plan, it won't take long for guests to notice a change as one addition will be placed right inside the door:

THERMAL CAMERAS

a. Guest points of entry will be limited to allow Security to conduct non-invasive temperature checks utilizing thermal cameras. In addition, all Associates will be required to enter the building through the Associate Entrance. Anyone displaying a temperature over 100˚F will be taken to a private area for a secondary temperature screening. Guests or Associates confirmed to have a temperature over 100˚F will not be allowed entry to the property.

There will also be hand sanitizer stations placed at all entrances, while employees will also be provided with hand sanitizer.

Social distancing will be actively stressed throughout the casino, both between guests and between guests and Grand Casino associates. In addition, "PPE (gloves and masks) will be worn by all Associates based on their role and responsibilities."

Furthermore, restaurant seating, table games, slot machines, and other areas will be arranged and marked to ensure appropriate distancing.

Cleaning of the casino, restaurants, hotel and all amenities is another major focal point of the plan, which includes extensive training of Grand Casino employees.

As we await formal word on when they plan on officially opening their doors, you can follow the link below to read their updated reopening guidelines.
