The Duluth-Superior area thrives on the tourist economy in the summertime. We gladly welcome them any time of year. It seems they come out in droves during our short, sweet, summer months/weeks. The Northland has an abundance of activities for the numerous tourists that visit our faire city every summer. So what is there to do for the local residents? Where do we go to have some fun of our own?

In this next installment of Shari & Chris Take on the World, we try and present a few options for the average local resident that needs a little getaway. Don't get me wrong, I certainly appreciate the tourist dollar coming in, but, sometimes it's nice to get away from it all every now and then.
