Hermantown + Stebner Road Intersection Closure Happens June 29 In Duluth
A busy intersection in Hermantown will be closed for one day to allow for some needed road maintenance. The intersection of Hermantown Road and Stebner Road will close to all traffic on Wednesday, June 29 to allow the work crews access to do some repaving work at the site.
Drivers will need to find alternative routes for the day.
To accommodate the work, Stebner Road will be closed from Hermantown Road to Morris Thomas Road. Meanwhile, Hermantown Road will be closed from Getchell Road to Stebner Road.
Because both Stebner and Hermantown Roads are heavily-traveled and the intersection sees a large number of vehicle each day, impacts to Northland drivers are anticipated. To get the word out, both the City of Hermantown and the Hermantown Police Departments have taken to their social media sites to alert drivers to the expected impacts.
As of right now, city crews anticipate the work will be able to be wrapped up within one day. However, much like any outdoor road construction project, a variety of factors could affect the work timeline. From weather conditions to unforeseen conditions that are discovered after the work gets underway. Drivers are suggested to be alert to news notifications for any changes that might occur.
