How Would You Spend A Million Dollars In Lottery Money?
Since January 2022 there have been several decent lottery wins near the Twin Ports area.
A $1 million dollar ticket sold in Two Harbors, just north of Duluth. Someone purchased a 50K winning ticket in Grand Rapids, and most recently someone in Hermantown won 150K on a Powerball ticket.
Of course you can't win if you don't play, and while odds of actually hitting a lot of coin are slim, what if you did win? I'll put it this way, what would you do if you won $1 million dollars in the lottery? I'm talking cleared a cool million after taxes.
Could you quit your job on that? Maybe, but would that be the smart thing to do? I'd personally keep working but also would use that million to pay off the house and any current bills.
I'd also look at investing and saving a decent portion after paying off my bills before I take some and have a little fun. A million might seem like a lot, but it's not quite go on vacation the rest of your life money, and it's also not really make all of your family members rich money.
Winning a million dollars in the lottery in 2022 to me is more of a let's still work, have a fun car, be able to take more time off work, and vacation a little more. I suppose I should add in that we'd set the kid up for college. Thankfully I have a wife who is much more responsible with money and while she would let me have fun, would encourage good choices. Hopefully she thinks good choices involve a 1989 Batmobile in the garage.
