The restaurant is called Alto Pino and it is a Mediterranean-inspired restaurant located in the former Blue Rock Grill and 7 West Taphouse location.

The new restaurant is located at 7 West Superior Street and is officially opening to the public on Thursday (October 24th) for dinner. For the first official weekend, they will be open for just dinner service.

If you would like to feast at Alto Pino during opening weekend, you are encouraged to make a reservation. Otherwise, you can try your luck and walk-in.

The food looks incredible, offering a bunch of unique and delicious options, from appetizers like cured meat, marinated olives, squash dip, lamb skewers and more.

Main plates include lake trout, rabbit, elk chop, sweet potato and eggplant. This is definitely not your everyday dinner fare, inspired by meals from Turkey, Greece and Italy.

The restaurant was set to open earlier this month but unfortunately had to postpone the opening. Now, they are ready to open their doors officially in downtown Duluth and I know so many people that are excited to try it out.

They have also been teasing some of their dishes on social media since announcing the venture and the food looks mouthwateringly delicious.

Welcome to Duluth, Alto Pino! If anyone goes this weekend, let us know how it us by shooting us a message on the station app.
