Duluth Transit Authority Cancelling Bus Service Due To Weather
The Duluth Transit Authority has announced that they will be cancelling bus services in the Duluth and Superior Area due to weather. The bus services will end at 6 PM on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025.
I received a call from the DTA, and they explained that they have to cancel bus services due to safety and aim to reopen when roads are plowed on April 3rd. Heavy wet snow continues across the Northland, with many areas receiving significant snowfall totals.
According to Director Dave Clark, this is an uncommon occurrence for the DTA:
We're really at the end of our rope here with bus services. We have no choice but to suspend service until the roads are plowed. It's not very common that we do this but it's necessary for safety.
The DTA has also announced the closure on social media as well.
