This is great news just in time for nice weather! Our summers are short in Minnesota and we all want to soak in the short season as much as we can.

A recent study just named the cities with the best parks in the country and of course, one from the Land Of 10,000 Lakes made the list.

This study only looked at the 100 largest cities in the country, which explains why Duluth didn't make the list.

It's no secret Duluth is one of the most beautiful places in the country so it definitely would have made the cut if they looked at more places! We have so many incredible parks.

New Study Names The Cities With The Best Parks In 2025

This study was done by Pergola Kits USA, looking at the top 100 cities in the country. They looked at things like how much of each city is dedicated to park area, park spending per capita and more.

They also looked at how much a volunteer's work in a park would cost if someone had to be hired to do it and the average park rating based on visitor reviews. Irvine, California and Anchorage, Alaska make up the top of the list.

Minneapolis, Minnesota Named One Of The Cities With The Best Parks

Parks may not be the first thing you think of when you think of a major city like Minneapolis but it was just named the eighth best city for parks, out of the 100 largest cities in the country. That's pretty impressive.

Even though I was born and raised there, I don't think of parks when I think of Minneapolis but this definitely changes that! It's home to some great ones like Boom Island Park, Minnehaha Regional Park and more.

I definitely need to explore more of these parks! I have been to the beautiful Minnehaha Regional Park but next time I am in the area, I now have a great list to work from.
